Febustat 40mg tablet is used to lower the raised uric acid levels in the blood, which can also lead to a condition known as hyperuricemia. Febustat 40 tablet contains febuxostat as its active ingredient. It is an anti-gout medicine. Febustat 40mg acts by inhibiting the chemical substance xanthine oxidase responsible for the formation of uric acid, thus lowering serum uric acid levels. The active ingredient in Feburic 40mg tablet, Febuget 40mg tablet and Febutax 40mg tablet are also febuxostat. This medicine should not be used by children below 18 years of age. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor for the prescribed duration. It is advised to take Febustat at the same time every day to gain optimum benefits.
