Glizihenz-M-80 Tablet is a combination medicine belonging to the anti-diabetic drug class. It is used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to help control their blood sugar levels.

 

Uses of Glizihenz-M Tablet:

  • Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

 

Contraindications:

  • It should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis (high levels of acid in the blood).
  • It is not recommended in patients with severe kidney or liver disease. Caution should be exercised in patients with mild to moderate kidney and liver disease and dose adjustments may be necessary, regular monitoring of kidney and liver function is advisable.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease before taking this medicine, as it may not be suitable.
  • It is unsafe to use during pregnancy due to the risk to the developing baby.
  • It is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding as it may pass into breast milk and harm the baby.

 

Side effects of Glizihenz-M Tablet:

  • Hypoglycemia (low blood glucose level) is a common side effect. Symptoms include sweating, dizziness, headache and shaking.

  • Upper respiratory tract infection
  • Nausea
  • Flatulence (gas)
  • Constipation
  • Other possible side effects include taste changes, stomach pain and weight gain.
