Enteroquinol 250mg Tablet is an antiparasitic medication belonging to the class of intestinal amebicides. It is primarily used to treat infections caused by amoebas and intestinal worms. The medicine is highly effective in managing both intestinal and hepatic amoebiasis by eliminating the adult forms of the parasites (trophozoites) responsible for producing cysts. Enteroquinol also treats related conditions such as diarrhea, liver abscesses, periodontitis and various parasitic infections including schistosomiasis and filariasis. It works directly in the intestinal tract, helping to alleviate symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea and fever associated with such infections. Enteroquinol 250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is important to use it at the same time daily for maximum effectiveness. You should complete the full course as prescribed, even if symptoms improve. Side effects like headache, nausea, dizziness and abnormal liver function may occur. Regular blood and liver function tests may be recommended during treatment.
