Gutron 2.5mg Tablet contains midodrine, an alpha-adrenergic agonist, used to treat low blood pressure (hypotension), particularly orthostatic hypotension, which causes dizziness upon standing up suddenly. It works by tightening blood vessels, thereby increasing blood pressure. This medicine is typically taken during daytime hours when you are most active.

Uses

• Treatment of low blood pressure (hypotension)
• Relief of dizziness due to low blood pressure when standing up (orthostatic hypotension)

Contraindications

• Severe organic heart disease
• Acute kidney disease
• Urinary retention
• Pheochromocytoma (a tumor of the adrenal gland)
• Thyrotoxicosis (overactive thyroid)
• Closed-angle glaucoma
• Hypersensitivity to midodrine or any other ingredients
