Uses:
- Moximax-KT Eye Drop is used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections, such as conjunctivitis or pink eye.
- It provides relief from pain, swelling, redness, itching or irritation in the eyes caused by bacterial infections.
- It is also used to temporarily relieve itchy eyes resulting from seasonal allergies.
- Another use is to prevent and treat swelling in the eye following eye surgery, such as cataract surgery.
Contraindications:
- Moximax-KT Eye Drop is strictly for use in the eyes only.
- Do not use it more frequently or for a longer duration than the recommended dose advised by your doctor.
Side effects:
- Common side effects may include eye discomfort, irritation and a burning sensation in the eyes immediately after application.
- Other reported side effects include conjunctivitis itself, reduced visual acuity, dry eye, ocular hyperemia (redness of the eye), eye pain, eye twitching, subconjunctival hemorrhage (bleeding under the conjunctiva), transient stinging, allergic reaction, corneal edema (swelling of the cornea), iritis (inflammation of the middle layer of the eye), general eye inflammation, superficial keratitis (inflammation of the cornea) and even eye infection.
- Less common side effects reported include fever, cough, other infections, otitis media (ear infection), sore throat, rash, inflammation of the nose and taste change.
