Cold brew coffee, as the name implies, is a smooth, rich, and refreshing coffee drink that has become quite popular for its different brewing methods and mellow flavour profile. The Cold brew coffee recipe creates smooth, refreshing coffee. Unlike other hot-brewed coffees, cold brew is made by steeping coarsely ground coffee beans in cold water for an extended period ranging from 12 to 24 hours. Due to the slow extraction process, this coffee provides a smoother and more acidic-neutral flavour, which is naturally sweeter and ideal for those who want a more balanced taste and less bitterness. Cold-brew coffee is just coarsely ground coffee mixed with cold or room temperature water in a jar or brewing container; it's left to steep for hours, allowing the coffee to slowly draw out all the flavours it had locked within. After brewing, the grounds are filtered away, and a smooth, concentrated coffee liquid can be diluted with water, milk, or a milk alternative to your taste. The recipe of Cold brew coffee is smooth. This produces a less bitter coffee than hot-brewed coffee, rich in an undertone and sweetly subtle. The best part is that cold brew coffee can be served over ice, making it one of the ultimate summer beverages flavoured by adding vanilla, caramel, or cinnamon for variety, and some coffee shops bottle it up to make it easier to carry around.

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cup ground coffee
  • 3 cup milk

Instructions

  • Let's start with the recipe of cold-brew coffee.
  • To begin with, you will need 11/2 cups of fresh, coarsely ground coffee beans. The grind size is what's going to make or break a great cold brew.
  • Add the coarsely ground coffee to a large jar or pitcher.
  • Now, you'll need 3 cups of filtered water. Filtered water is an excellent choice because it has no impurities or chlorine that could affect the flavour of the coffee.
  • Let the water drip over the grounds so all the coffee gets saturated. Stir in coffee grounds and water with a spoon or a stirrer until the mixture is well mixed. This ensures an equal distribution in the steeping action, leading to better extraction of flavours from the coffee grounds.
  • Well, now you're all set. Let the coffee steep. Steeping times vary from 12 to 24 hours for cold brew.
  • Put the jar or pitcher in your fridge and leave it alone- don't stir. The more you steep the coffee, the deeper or richer the flavour's going to be.
  • To make for a lesser brew, you can steep for about 12 hours, but if you want something more substantial with a more concentrated taste, leave it up for 24 hours. Just don't forget to check it sometimes so you know that your grounds are all still submerged.
  • After you have steeped the cold brew, strain the cold brew.
  • Use a fine-mesh strainer, cheesecloth, or a dedicated cold brew coffee filter to strain the coffee. Pour the brewed coffee through the filter into a clean container or pitcher and discard the used grounds.
  • You now have your cold brew concentrate! The concentrate will often be much more potent than regular brewed coffee, and thus, it is usually diluted before serving. You can serve your cold brew coffee on ice directly, or if you prefer not to feel the potency of the taste, you can dilute it with some water or milk.
  • You can pour yourself a glass whenever you feel like you need a quick burst of caffeine to get you through.
  • The smoothness and mellow flavour make it perfect for drinking slowly or as an iced coffee drink, just what's needed to refresh the senses on sweltering days. It's made with just a few ingredients: easily ground coffee, filtered water, and optional milk for creaminess.
